Episode 47 : Perfectly Imperfect

My guest on today’s episode  is April Maye, a Wife, Journalist, Social worker, Blogger (The Lifestyle Brief) and Breast Cancer Survivor.2

On this episode, April walks us through her journey dealing with breast cancer and how it impacted her life. She speaks on how her relationship was affected, getting a mastectomy, breast reconstructive surgery, and her new interests.

April also speaks on the role of faith, support from loved ones, finding the right medical team, diet, exercise, and communication with one’s own body as key elements to her recovery.

Even though life dealt April a tough card with breast cancer, she has chosen to use her experience to empower other women who might be going through a similar situation, to let them know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. In my eyes, April turned an imperfect situation into a perfect opportunity to spread love.
